From Weaving Regions to Wardrobes. How We Curate Sarees at Chinhh

Behind every Chinhh saree is a journey. One that begins far away from online catalogs, factory floors, and mass listings. Our process starts on the ground, in the places where Indian textiles are truly shaped.

We travel across different parts of India, exploring weaving regions, local markets, and trusted sourcing hubs. From established textile centres to lesser-known pockets, we spend time understanding fabrics, techniques, and regional characteristics. We touch the fabric, study the weave, and observe how the saree falls and feels when worn.

Curation at Chinhh is not about collecting everything available. It is about balance. We look for sarees that honour traditional craftsmanship while fitting effortlessly into modern wardrobes. Pieces that feel elegant without being overwhelming, and versatile without losing their character.

Not every saree we come across makes it into our collection. In fact, most don’t. We are selective about fabric quality, finishing, comfort, and overall feel. If a saree doesn’t meet our standards, it doesn’t move forward.

What finally reaches Chinhh is a carefully chosen edit. Sarees that are comfortable, timeless, and wearable across occasions. Pieces that feel just as right for everyday moments as they do for celebrations.

For us, curation isn’t about trends or seasonal hype. It’s about trust. Trust in what we select, and trust that our customers will feel the difference when they wear it.
